Across the ether we chatter on our cell phones, feigning connection.
HAIKU POEM ROSALIENE BACCHUS
|
The moment we are born
we are dying...
Growth and decay
simultaneous,
one and the same...
We become
from seed and need,
fingers form, nerves ignite
and we enter~
We cry and observe,
the human curves
of our most precious gift,
our breath upon time.
Cell by cell we regenerate,
pore by pore we bleed out,
day by day, the clock ticks,
the earth spins, stars align,
and together
--we are disconnected--
We are born without voice,
but will always have the choice
to live our days with passion,
compassion, and grace...
and through these words,
may this world be a better place.
Poem from A Song Beneath Silence by
Apryl Skies, Edgar & Lenore's Publishing
House, California, USA, 2010.

I think to become a poet, you must experience life, but
more than that, I think you need to be willing to feel.
Most of us need to be reminded of that. I would say that
many of us are tragically bound by our own fears…fear is
such an imprisoning element.
